Sandbag Workout Takes Over, Gym Bags To Stay At Home

When it comes to choice, most Americans prefer a sandbag workout when compared to a visit to the gym, reveals a new study that has brought into focus the latest in fitness craze across the country. // The fitness maniacs are even prepared to lift a comparable load to what workers of the construction site usually carry.

The ambitious weight losers are encouraged to ‘heave-ho their way to fitness’ by moving around heavy bags loaded with builders’ sand. This is typically the scene at the most popular Crunch chain of gym in Chicago.

The new, trendy fitness training programme, commonly referred to as the CrossFit commando-style training program is based on a sandbag-carry exercise. The exercise involves carrying a sandbag (approximately 40lbs) over the shoulder, for a particular distance.

Owing to the high demand for sandbag training, those who crave for health and fitness are not allowed to workout for more than 20 minutes. In order to avoid any drastic consequences as a result of sand bag training, the fitness experts recommend starting workout with a smaller weight.

This regime can progressively stretched to accommodate a weight of heavy and cumbersome 40 lbs. Additionally, use of poor techniques and low strength potential can increase the vulnerability to injury, warn the health experts. If you have already made up your mind to switch over to sandbag workout, do not fail to seek professional help!
