Washington: Desire to have chemotherapy - whether needed or not is a very unlikely request. Keith Richards, the guitarist for the rock band ‘The Rolling Stones’ has revealed that// he is seriously considering undergoing chemotherapy whether he needs it or not.

Keith said that he had was seriously thinking about it after seeing its beneficial effects on ‘Brown Sugar’ drummer Charlie Watts, who underwent chemotherapy to fight throat cancer.

"When Charlie got back he said, 'I'll show you how we're really going to play (the new tracks).' I said to Charlie, 'If this is what chemo does for you, I'll take it, whether I need it or not,'" Ratethemusic quoted him, as saying.

One can never be sure if these statements are likely to turn out to be true, however no doctor is likely to comply to Keiths request knowing the side effects that sometimes can be fatal with chemotherapy.
