Roller coasters – cause “Chronic Headache?

Startling findings reveal that the highly popular roller coaster rides that are invading all our amusement parks may not be safe after all! A kind of posttraumatic migraine might be induced on account the seemingly safe rides.

In a specific incident that was studied by researchers, following one such ride a young lady presented with throbbing headache, blurred vision and nausea, immediately after. But investigations like CT etc did not reveal any significant findings.

The headache persisted for nearly 2 months until it became an intolerable episode and she was hospitalized and though MRI findings were not significant, she had to be put on medications to relieve the episode and has to still continue medications to prevent recurrence.

Now, that might be a drop in the ocean , but a very important one! Watch out for those heavy rides!
