Rip Off: Care Less about Medicare $90m Fraud Deals?

This is organized crime that is on the brink of milking Medicare. Australian Medicare cards are being used by foreigners to avail free medical treatment, according to News Ltd newspapers’, announcement today. These phony deals have cost a mammoth $90 million dollar a year, according to agency reports.//

The agency has reported a case of a Victorian, recently in the docks for permitting his foreigner father to use his Medicare card, to pocket the claim of $3300 for laser eye treatment.

A Sydney woman found that her card was being used to receive a free kidney operation. Police have also unearthed an organized crime cartel impersonating identities and Medicare cards.

Federal Human Services Minister Joe Hockey is slated to present to the cabinet, his plans to circumvent this problem, which is a new Medicare smart card with photographic identity, which might help bust this racket.
