Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc awarded the prestigious outstanding supplier award received from Wal-Mart

In a statement released by Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc (RPI), they have stated that have received the prestigious Supplier Award // from Wal-Mart, the largest chain store in the US, for outstanding performance in the first quarter of 2005. Wal-Mart Stores is a global company with more than 1.3 million associates worldwide and nearly 5,000 stores and wholesale clubs across 10 countries.

RPI is based in Jacksonville, Florida, USA and works as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ranbaxy Laboratories, India’s largest pharmaceutical company and is mainly engaged in the sale and distribution of generic and branded prescription products in the US healthcare system. RPI had received this commendation for consistency of products and programmes provided to Wal-Mart.

Officials at Wal- mart have been quoted as saying that ‘‘Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc (RPI) has been outstanding in meeting the criteria for this award, because of the improvement in areas of on-time shipping, performance, innovative programs and partnership “.

Executive Director of Sales for RPI , Bill Winter has said that the award is something everyone at Ranbaxy has worked very hard to achieve and that all members of the team should be very proud of the accomplishment. He also said that in the future Ranbaxy would continue to focus on R&D promising to make significant progress in New Drug Discovery Research.
