Railways Not To Include Chicken & Eggs In Menu

Bird flu threat in India has pushed the Indian Railways to take off chicken and egg related dishes from the menu.//

A standing instruction has been issued to all the Zonal Railways and other railway departments that cater to the passengers.

An official quoted that such a decision was taken upon the public interest.

As the disease itself is highly contagious, which spreads through H5N1 virus, chances of infection among the catering staff handling raw meat and eggs and the passengers are very high.
