The reservations are slowly thought to be extended to all the private unaided colleges offering professional courses. The decision taken by the Maharashtra government has worried the managements of these private institutions. // They say that reservations are already present in all private unaided colleges. Kamal Kishore Kadam president of the Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical & Dental Colleges of Maharashtra (AMUPMDCM) asked the government to provide for the fees in case of 100% reservation for the students.

Kadam who is also a former education minister of the state said that about 80% of the students cannot afford their fees and the cost cannot be borne by the private colleges which would be around 7 lacks per year. Hence he said that the students have to pay for their education. Forum of Private Management Institutes chairman PL Arya said that it is time to demand the government for a better fee structure.
