Postpone intercourse after childbirth

A doctor from UK says that females having sexual intercorse soon after delivery could jeopardize their lives. A study of two women in Yorkshire reveals that their death occured because they indulged in sexual intercourse too soon after delivery.

Researchers said they were ill fated due to air embolisms, traveling to the heart and brain.The blood vessels in a woman's// pelvic area expanded during pregnancy and takes upto 4 weeks to return to normal after birth. The researchers said it was more likely for women to have air embolisms if they had deep penetrative sex with their knees against their chest.

The study from the recoreds of the two women stated that one had died eight days after having her child and the other five days after delivery.Both women had a normal delivery and collapsed while making love.It is suggested that the partners should abstain from intercourse for atleast 6 weeks.
