Patrons Of A Brisbane Restaurant Warned Of Hepatitis A

A Brisbane restaurant is reported to be in the centre of a health controversy involving hepatitis A virus. Queensland Health department had requested people //who ate at Wagamama restaurant at Chermside in the first week of March to seek the help of a doctor if they develop fever, stomach ache or loss of appetite and jaundice.

This direction follows after a former food-handler contracted the virus while he was outside the country. Dr Penelope Hutchinson, spokesperson for Queensland Health assured the people that the risk of infection is very low.

Doctor Hutchinson also said that the infected person is not working in the restaurant anymore. Doctor also asserted that the health authorities have investigated the hotel and found them to be satisfactory.
