Parkinson's disease as a result of Head injuries

Researchers have discovered link between head injuries and Parkinson's disease. A study indicates that people who suffer a head injury may be four times more likely to develop Parkinson's disease compared to those who have not. They also added that the risk increases on the severity of injury. In general men and women have about a one in 75 chance of developing Parkinson's disease. About 4 million people are affected by this disease. //However researchers also indicated that it is not definite that one will develop Parkinson's disease as a result of severe head injury.
