PM undergoes health check-up

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Sunday underwent a health check-up at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here. //His medical reports are satisfactory and he is in good health, according to an official of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

"The prime minister reached AIIMS at about 7.30 a.m. and left it at about 11 a.m. He underwent an echo test for the heart. An ultrasound test was also done along with some other tests," a senior AIIMS official told IANS.

While at the hospital, Manmohan Singh also visited H.Y. Sharda Prasad, who served as information adviser to late prime minister Indira Gandhi.

Prasad, suffering from a heart ailment, is in the intensive care unit. He was admitted to the hospital Saturday and would undergo a surgery Tuesday, the official said.
