Brown, M.D., University of California, // San Francisco and is reported in Diabetes care. This Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) which is funded by the NIH was launched to study the effect of obesity with urinary inconsistence and prediabetes.

The study was conducted in 3,234 obese women with pre-diabetic blood sugar level were grouped based on study requirements. The study found that pre-diabetic patients who took to regular exercise to reduce weight and had a balanced diet had a significant improvement in reduction of urinary inconsistence and the chances of developing prediabetes in these patients reduced significantly to the other group who did not have any change in their physical activity and dietary intake.

Weight loss significantly reduced the urinary inconsistence conditions in which the person leaks urine involuntarily during body movements and the chances of prediabetic status changing to diabetes status is high in these obese patients and this condition is reduced by exercise and healthy diet.
