Now, a Tattoo That can Be Easily Removed

For all those wary about getting a tattoo done of their lover's initials due to fear of getting jilted in future, here is some good news - researchers have discovered a technique, where the cryptic body symbols can be permanent or removed as per the wearer's choice.

The new method is called micro-encapsulation, where particles are suspended in a biodegradable polymer coating. The microcapsules, that are as tiny as pins, can bear a molecule that requires protection or restrained release.

The process is widely used in manufacturing plant food, stain remover, and even scratch-and-sniff perfume ads, where scent is released upon scratching a treated paper.

Researchers at Brown University have made microencapsulated beads filled with dyes that do not have heavy metals and other toxins, making it easy it easy to get it removed.

"Microencapsulation is a real science and a real art," Live Science quoted said researcher Edith Mathiowitz, as saying.
