Nova Scotia MP, Bill Casey, indebted to Cadman clinic

Bill Casey, a Nova Scotia Conservative MP, diagnosed with malignant melanoma is grateful to a skin cancer clinic, for perceiving signs of the disease early//.

The Cadman clinic, instituted in remembrance of a former parliamentarian, Chuck Cadman, who had also died of cancer, was responsible for detecting the presence of the disease at the right time.

Bill Casey, found to have an abnormal mole on examination, underwent surgery to have the mole removed. Subsequent tests revealed the presence of malignant melanoma, which is an alarming profile of skin cancer.

'I'm in shock that I had it. I'm in shock it was fixed. It's a very moving experience.' Casey said.
