Notice issued against health minister and four others

The Kerala Health Minister was issued notice after a complaint that said he took huge amounts of money in exchange for arranging transfers // and appointments for medical and Para medical staffs at Kannur and Wayanad.

Lok Ayukta Justice K Sreedharan and Upa Lok Ayukta N Krishnan Nair issued the notice on Wednesday against K.K. Ramachandran and four others.

Kerala Government Medical Officers Association (KGMOA) has raised the question based on which the Kerala Health Minister and four others including his private secretary was found guilty of corruption and was issued notice.

The Superintendent of Police Radhakrishnan Nair who was working on this case reported that without the knowledge of the minister the staff could not have indulged in receiving huge amount of money for transfers.

As an investigating officer his reports were very important in issuing the notice against the Health minister and four others from his office.

Notices were also issued to the Principal Secretary (Health), Director of Medical Education and Director of Health Services.

All the five persons are directed to appear before the Lok Ayukta on January 27.
