New Treatment For People Allergic To Cats,,,,

People who are allergic to animals like cats often do have a reaction like asthma or allergic rhinitis. Study has shown // that it is possible to generate a new therapy based on the immunity of the person concerned against allergic reactions.

A protein found in cat saliva and dander, called gamma Feline domesticus causes the release of histamine in people allergic to cats. The latest innovation aims to activate the antibody that could stop the release of histamine on being associated with cats.

The new treatment consists of a new protein containing cat allergen that may be injected along with a human antibody taken from patients suffering from cat allergies. When taken in a single dose the treatment blocks the release of histamine that causes allergic reactions. As a result the allergic person may no longer sneeze or have watery eyes or nose. When applied the treated patients did not have an allergic reaction even after being exposed to cat dander.

Researchers of UCLA who had developed the treatment had said that this new method may not only be effective against cat allergies, but may be modified to treat a variety of allergies caused by various environment agents.
