Women with a family history of early menopause who put off children until their thirties are risking their chances of childbearing, according to a new study.

A team of Dutch researchers has found that a woman with one or more first-degree relatives with a history of early menopause is liable to experience earlier menopause herself. In twins it was 70 to 71 per cent, which was not statistically different to that of non-twin sisters.
