Proud parents Serge and Herbethe Elie have welcomed their seventh daughter who was born on the seventh day of the seventh month in the seventh year of the millennium .

Elizabeth Elie, who was born on July 7, 2007 at Birmingham's Good Hope Hospital in delivery room No 7, also happens to be the seventh child of the couple.

Serge hopes that number seven will bestow good luck on his newborn daughter, and that he cannot wait to tell her that she was born on such a memorable occasion.

I hope she's a good luck charm when she grows up and wins us lots of money on the lottery, bingo or the horses. There's sevens everywhere, this must be a good omen. It's a gift from God, the Mirror quoted Serge, as saying.

"I can't wait to tell her that she was born on such a memorable occasion. It is absolutely amazing, I'm a very happy man, he added.

However, when the couple was told that their child would be born on the 7th, they did not think much about it because their kids have so far been born a few days earlier or after the date given.

It's an amazing set of co-incidences. I hope she will have lots of good fortune. But she's so beautiful, we already feel like the luckiest parents in the world, Herbethe said.
