Mamata Banerjee Hospitalized Due to Chest Pain

Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee was admitted to a city nursing home in the wee hours Thursday after she complained of chest pain and breathlessness. //

The doctors attending her said the condition of the Trinamool Congress MP, who was allegedly manhandled at Singur in Hooghly district during her sit-in recently to resist the transfer of fertile farmlands to Tata Motors for a car factory, was stable.

She was admitted to the Belle Vue Nursing Home in central Kolkata.

A medical bulletin would be issued later in the day.

Mamata complained of the problems late Wednesday night after attending a rally against the Singur land grab with Congress leaders during the day where she looked visibly indisposed.
