Mumbai lovers prefer the most crowded railway stations and bus stops to express their romance.
Ranjit Narayanan, 27, hangs around with his girlfriend at the Andheri railway station//. He meets her three times in a week and is happy about the venue.
As both work, it is the most easily accessible place with lot of crowd moving up and down it is the safest place too. Initially they felt awkward with so many people around but now they got used to it.
Mumbai lovers are very practical and know that exotic places as seen in films is totally out of reach and their only safe hang out is the stinking railway platforms and grimy bus stops.
On all the days one can see a couple of pairs occupying the area between an ATM and the ticket counter at the Dadar station in Mumbai who are not bothered about the sea of people passing by.
These love struck pairs sit in the platforms holding each others hands and in the background can be heard the announcements of the trains arrival and departure.
They say that they cannot manage to pay for the malls and other costly hang outs. They also can’t sit for long hours in the sea shore as it creates problems with the police.
Other hang outs like parks, lakes and resorts are very far of from the city and after long hours of work it is impossible to meet daily in such places and that these places don’t provide them with the necessary cover and privacy.
One other reason to prefer the stations is that people are more concerned about getting in to a train and reaching home rather than noticing the activities of the others. Lovers usually prefer the evenings than the afternoons.
Apart from all this it is very important that one should know his or her limits and how to behave in publi. '"/>
