Abidjan markets witnessed large scale slaughtering of chicken, after the confirmation of H5N1 bird –flu outbreak in the West African country of Cote d'Ivoire. // Ghana, its neighbour has also imposed a ban on the entry of poultry and poultry products from this part of West Africa.

The infected areas have been segregated and no movement is allowed in this restricted zone.
