Lack Of Sperm Donors - Scottish IVF Clinic Closed

Due to reduced number of sperm donors nationally, the Scottish IVF clinic at the Aberdeen Maternity Hospital has been forced to say ‘no’ to its new patients//.

Patient enrolled in the fertility treatment at Scotland has been plunged into crisis because government has said patients treated halfway may need to register in next city’s waiting list due to sperm lack.

Sandra Kant, the clinic's spokeswoman says, it was regrettable to ask patients, who have received half treatment to be one among the waiting list again.

The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority said: Sperm donors were no longer guaranteed anonymity, and so the couples are now facing crisis in their treatment.

The IVF clinic has sent messages to all enrolling patients saying that it was forced to close as a result of sperm donors lack and no idea of when it will open.
