Kylie Almost Doubled Earnings in Breast Cancer Year Off

Pop star Kylie Minogue earned an incredible 4.5million pounds in the year she took off while fighting breast cancer .

Despite retreating from the public eye to battle the disease, the Aussie sensation almost doubled her income from the preceding year.

According to the accounts of her company Darenote, Kylie received a salary of 1.85 million pounds, expenses of 42,366 pounds and other earnings of 2.63 million pounds.

The 39-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in May 2005; however her business showed a profit of 142,807 pounds for the year from April 2005 to March 2006.

"It is testimony to her amazing popularity that her finances remained in such good shape despite the well-publicised problems with her health," the Mirror quoted a financial expert, as saying.
