Jade Goody Believes Miscarriage was 'God's Punishment' for Wrong Deeds

Reality TV star Jade Goody has revealed that she feared that her recent miscarriage was god's way of punishing her for her wrong deeds .

The 25-year-old, who lost her baby when she was three months pregnant, said that though she has been coping with bad times since the beginning of this year, she thought she would never recover after losing the baby.

"After the miscarriage I did ask: 'Why is all this happening?' I thought it was God's punishment for something I'd done," the Daily Mail quoted her, as telling Closer magazine.

"This year it's been one thing after another. But after losing the baby I thought I'd never recover," she added.

Goody and her beau Jack Tweed were excited about the arrival of the newcomer and the 25-year-old was left 'devastated' after the miscarriage.

"I dreamt of having a girl and even secretly imagined dressing her in pink," she said.

The mum of two also said that she was in the peak of her career and so the downslide was natural.

But, she agreed that she did not expect it to be so bad.

"Last year, everything I touched turned to gold. My perfume was outselling the Beckhams' and I was at the peak of my career, so I was probably due a tumble. I didn't expect it to be so bad, but it's made me stronger," she added.

However, the Rt Revd Nick Baines issued a statement saying 'Jade Goody can be sure that losing her baby wasn't a punishment from God. God doesn't punish people. He stands by them and shares in their suffering as we see in Jesus Christ'.
