JIPMER Students Organize Human Chain

Students of the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) here organized a ‘human chain agitation’// to protest the move to reserve seats for OBC students in elite Central institutions.

Students of the Central government-administered JIPMER yesterday took out a rally inside the Institute's premises before organizing the human chain.

A spokesperson of the JIPMER Students Association told reporters that the human chain stir was also aimed at condemning the police excesses on agitating students in New Delhi and various parts of the country.

The JIPMER students had been wearing black badges while attending classes as a token of their protest.
