Is Medlab Nudged Out of the Race?

The bastion of the diagnostic company, Medlab, seems to have encountered an invincible intruder in the form of an Australian Company, which has been the recipient of a $560// million eight-year laboratory testing contract , accorded by the district health boards in Auckland, scheduled to commence from June 2007.

Pathologists from the Australasia Royal College of Pathologists find themselves in a tight spot after this decision. They are scheduled to have a meeting with the Health Minister, Pete Hodgson to discuss the implications of such a move on their careers.

Medlab on its part is moving heaven and earth to retain its past glory.
