Is Enriched-Butter Better for Asthma?

Butter containing fatty acids has caught the interest of researchers from Auckland University, who wish to probe on its benefits in treating asthma in humans, after the trials// on rats proved successful. The researchers are avidly looking forward to having a few volunteers on board to investigate this feature.

Researchers had observed an increase in allergies like asthma with consumption of margarine. Further research on children showed a connection between a higher incidence of asthma and low consumption of saturated fat. Additional trials conducted on rats showed that butter containing certain fatty acids was able to effectively bring down the inflammation in the lungs.

To gather more insight into how dairy products could offer cures for allergies, the university's medical faculty will be conducting trails on humans soon.
