A function was held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel to place on record the exemplary work of art by students from grades V to XII // , as part of the effort by Oman in the ‘Unite for children Unite against Aids’ campaign initiated world-wide by the Unicef and UNAids.

‘Unite for Children Unite Against Aids’ campaign encompasses four major goals spread over five years. The goals are, to bring down the percentage of the young victims of HIV/Aids; to provide better services that can offset mother-to-child transmission; to enable high quality pediatric treatment for children in distress; and to offer maximum protection and support for the children affected by HIV/Aids.

The drawing competition was motivated with a desire to understand the level of awareness in the student about HIV/Aids; to enable a more positive and supportive role especially with people and children who are victims to HIV/Aids; to increase the knowledge regarding child-rights and methods to enable their co-existence in society.
