Indian hospitals require International Accreditation

Quality standards and strict hygienic conditions has to be monitored by all health care industries, with growing need of hospital care and increase in number of hospitals and physicians providing the health care, the healthcare standards should me monitored for the benefit of the // patients.

Due to the specialty and facilities in Indian hospitals, there is an increase in patients from neighboring and other countries for treatment in India and this new improvement requires maintenance of international standards, which requires international Accreditation for Indian healthcare industry. Due to increased number of health care hospitals, an accrediting system will help in monitoring of hospitals, so that quality is not compromised. Moreover more patients would be attracted towards hospital, which provides better treatment and good consultation to the patients. The accreditation for the quality in hospitals is given by JCAHO (Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) and this accreditation is recognized globally. JCAHO monitors the performance improvement, management of the environment of care, organizational structure, leadership and management of information in hospitals before giving its accreditation.

For better recognisation and quality maintenance it is the duty of the health care providers to maintain the quality and get international accreditation so that it can provide health care facilities globally.
