Indian Doctor Establishes His Name In Germany

Indian radiologist Rajeev Diddy is the only doctor of Indian origin to receive a license to practice privately in Germany’s Essen City. He also has MD certifications to his credit. He sees as many as 100 patients per day starting from 7:30 am, and he calls it a day at 6 pm. His practice is estimated at US$ 5 million. //

What makes his achievement all the more creditable is the fact it has happened in a ‘non-immigration country’ that permits expatriate doctors, but licenses very few to practice privately. He started his career in the country as an assistant doctor at the Essen University Medical College in 1978. He obtained a German MD in radiology only 1986, and he also went in for a German citizenship. The doctor gives much of the credit for his success to his wife, who had stood by him through thick and thin.
