India: Chicken and Eggs Safe for Consumption

Health Minister Ambumani Ramadoss expressed satisfaction at India’s efforts to effectively curtail the bird flu outbreak,// which has also received international acclaim. Now, chicken and eggs are absolutely safe to eat, since there has been no human instance of bird-flu.

"It is perfect to eat chickens and eggs. The poultry should be boiled at 70 degrees centrigrade. In India it is generally boiled at 100 degrees as it is fried in oil," he said.

According to him, the nation had adequately geared up to face up to any crisis
