According to a few researchers, Hormone replacement in patch form improves mood and libido in postmenopausal women.Women often report low libido, slow arousal, difficulty reaching orgasm and painful intercourse. They assume it's just part and parcel of the menopause//and, there is no licensed treatment for these symptoms.

But a new study from researchers at the University of Southern California reveals that the patch form of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) can give a woman significant sexual improvement. They think that the patch works by increasing testosterone levels - and low testosterone is sometimes a cause of sexual difficulties. The oral form of HRT is not known to have the same effect. This was a very small study, so now it needs to be repeated on a larger scale to see if patch HRT can help restore women's libido.
