Thousands of ordinary families will now form part of a unique experiment that will be a step forward in bettering the Health and Welfare of the Scots. //

7000 Scots will be tracked for ten years, against varied factors – with a motive to change the reputation of Europe, now known as "sick man of Europe". This is slated to be one of the largest ever study conducted in Europe that will have the keen participation of experts from multifarious disciplines. They will concentrate their experiments on examining the effects of environment factors such as housing, Job opportunities and its bearing on the Health.

The task of the Academicians will be to put under the scanner all aspects of Glaswegians, and get them to bare all and dare all. Along with topics like hereditary problems, lifestyle and diet, the study will focus on the everyday stress triggers, whatever they may be., More importantly, the study will question the theory propagated by Dr Harry Burns, the chief medical officer, that poverty is one of the main triggers that causes biological changes that affects the heart and even causes cancer.

This study will gain momentum, when Scotland's leading academics will track the lives of Glaswegians for a whole 10 years. They will study and measure the impact of reforms on health and quality of life, and whether it improves their mental outlook..

The initiative, titled Go Well, which is a whopping ￡4.5m costing study, will address important issues concerning health, while throwing light on the fact that despite health program initiatives, the divide between the life expectancy of the rich and poor still exists.
