Grief Drove Britney to Shave Her Head

Britney Spears the famous pop idol of the teens apparently shaved her head as a tribute to her aunt who had died from cancer.//

In Feb the star who has this uncanny knack of stunning the media with her antics; shaved off the full length of her beautiful hair in full view of paparazzi camera crews at a Los Angeles salon.

She then did a spell in rehab. Many felt the shaving was due to her suffering from post-partum depression and grief. However close friends of Britney claim that shaving off her hair was as an act of "Solidarity", Her friends told PageSix.com, "Britney's aunt had just died of cancer. She was feeling very guilty because she hadn't been there with her, she was overwhelmingly depressed and she shaved her head in solidarity."

Britney split with her husband KEVIN FEDERLINE last year; was spending many night often knickerless; in LA clubs after her split. However apparently the shaving the head was a last cry for help.

Britney's mental breakdown has been making headline news for many weeks especially now that she is on the comeback trail recording for her new album.

BRIAN FRIEDMAN says that the singer has been making good choices of late and feels she is at last "taken control" of her issues. Friedman added that shaving her head was the best thing she could have done. He said: "It takes a lot of courage for a woman to go without hair and people who have done it, I feel, are great role models."
