Genetic Data On Bird Flu Virus - Indonesian Officials Report

A Government official reports, ‘Indonesia hasn’t shared the genetic information about the bird flu virus publicly’.

The director-general of disease control and environment, Nyoman Kandun//, at the Indonesian Ministry of Health, reports that certain things are to be considered and discussed by the Government before any public release and there is more chance to be released when it has been used for research purpose.

A chain of infection in 3 three same family members provide a first case of evidence in the Indonesian island of Sumatra about Avian Flu on humans. The genetic sequence and information contained in the H5N1 virus were examined by scientists of Indonesia to create links about how it gets transmitted to humans.
