French Face Transplant Patient Reports Feeling of Sensation in New Face

World’s first partial face transplant patient reports great improvement following her face transplant surgery done 5 months back//.

Isabelle Dinoire (dee-NWAHR') tells a French newspaper that her facial scars are more healed and she's recovered total feeling in her face. The 38-year-old mother of two has said she was under the influence of drugs when she was horribly mauled by her pet Labrador.

Dinoire says her speech has improved, though it's still hard to form certain words with her lips, such as 'b' or 'p' sounds. And she's still trying to get used to her new look -- often looking at old photos of herself and being shocked at the difference.

She adds that she still hasn't replaced the mirrors she removed from her home after the accident, and will not leave her apartment alone.
