Former IMO President Shows Interest In Winning General Election

Dr James Reilly, former president of the Irish Medical Organization (IMO) has expressed his interest to contest in the next General Election for Fine Gael// . Previously, Nora Owen, the party’s former Justice Minister held the seat.

The ambitious contestant is seeking the nomination in the Dublin North constituency and is positive about the success in the political party’s selection convention, to be held on the 2nd of May.

‘The people of North Dublin were justly represented by one of Fine Gael’s finest politicians, Nora Owen. I believe that this General Election will see Fine Gael regaining its rightful seat in Dublin North – and I am ready to work solidly to make this happen. The current Government has failed to deliver to the communities of Fingal - it is only with a change of Government that these people will see crucial service and infrastructural improvement. I would be honoured to represent Fine Gael in Dublin North,’ said Dr. James in an election statement.

Dr Reilly has worked as a GP in the north County Dublin area for the past 23 years. Additionally, he has involved himself in surgical practice in Lusk and Donabate. The clinician who is married and has five children represents the IMO at World Medical Association.

He is known in the local community for his active participation in the development of a new town centre in Lusk for provision of medical facilities to the ever-increasing population. The town centre is equipped with diagnostic facilities such as X-ray and Ultrasound in addition to dentistry and physiotherapy units.
