Fat chance: Live Statistics of an English Man

Not withstanding the Englishman’s love for beer and fast food, here’s some live statistics about how English men make their presence felt longer on the planet, beating other European counterparts hollow.//

A significant report based on official statistics, has communicated that the average life expectancy for English men is 76.6 years, ranked second highest, in the European Union, which leads with an average male life expectancy of 74.8. English women beat the men to it , with a life expectancy of 80.9 years, but stand out beaten by their EU peers. Britain is also (in) famous being ranked 2 in the EU fat nation category, after Greece, with more than one fifth adults obese.

Scotland is disappointing with lowest life expectancy for men (73.8 years) and women (79.1 years), with smokers forming a major portion, contributing to highest rates of lung cancer. Wales is child friendly with lowest death rate among infants in 2003 but has the highest proportion of disabled people in 2003-04.

However, the most disconcerting part of the United Kingdom Health Statistics is the rise in sexually transmitted diseases, reported to be highest in England. Though Scotland is disappointing in public health, the country has recorded the highest proportion of people with sporty lifestyles and healthy physical activity. In the UK, the commonly prevalent problem was back pain and arthritis, affecting nearly one third of the population. Seven per cent of men and 11 per cent of women said they had suffered anxiety and depression.
The Office for National Statistics has reported these statistics.
