Family planning is insisted upon Muslims by Shia cleric

All India Muslim Personal Law Board vice president Mr. Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Sadiq insisted Muslims to practice family planning on a three-day convention on Empowerment of Muslim Women//.

He said that family planning is not restricted for Muslims and the use of pills by women and condoms by men are permissible.

Common people ignoring these methods have no right to guide others. The word family planning is not used in the religious books but these books tell about the necessities for woman’s health.

He explained the acceptable fact that woman is the key player of a family and Islam insists on duties and the role women should perform as a mother.

A person respecting his mother will get a place in heaven is his argument.

Regarding recent issue of Hindu hardliner and Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief K.S. Sudarshan's speech on demographic profile that Hindu’s can produce three or more children for country intact, Mr. Sadiq expressed shock, how a community head can ask his people for population growth in case of that affecting individual process. Regarding the progressive idea for his community he insisted on duty of the parents towards their children and he cleared that a healthy mother alone can nurture their children.

Too many children production will restrict child growth which in turn will affects the parents responsibility mentioned in Islam books he added.
