Fair Sex Thought to Fare Well with Medical Decisions

SanFrancisco: A recent study has shown that married couples, who look outside of their relationship for medical advice after an eventuality, would most //often seek the assistance of women, according to the findings of a survey conducted amongst 298 people.

It was also observed that among the 29% who chose a parent, the preference for mothers scored over that of fathers, with a ratio of 5:1. Those who chose a child for assistance showed a greater preference for daughters over sons.

According to the author of this study, married couples who sought external advice did it typically because they could rely on the external help for medical knowledge and didn't want to weigh their spouses down with crucial life decisions.

To quote the author "There was often a family member, child or sibling that was in the profession, was a doctor, knew their way around such matters. If their son was a doctor and savvy about this, they'd both choose the son."
