Early detection of alcohol abuse is better option for treatment

Speakers at the Congress for the International Society for Biomedical Research// on Alcoholism in Mannheim, Germany, while presenting their research paper on alcohol abuse and cure had said that early detection of alcohol abuse and treatment is more beneficial than any other forms of treatment.

Researchers suggest that there is a need to use newly emerging biomarkers and detailed questionnaires to predict the alcohol addiction while it is at a still early stage. The current biomarkers available are generally used to monitor the results of the drinking on the body after the patient has been cured. Researchers should concentrate on finding out new biomarkers that for alcohol dependence and other mental problems. The current method of self-reports and screenings for liver damage is not always effective in detecting alcohol abuse.

According to the research finding one such way to find out a suitable biomarkers may be getting the ribonucleic acid (RNA) from human blood and use microarray analysis that will reveal gene expressions that can be used as a biomarker. often people are not aware of the fact that misuse of alcohol can be very harmful for the health, and advent of a bio-marker can help them who are not aware of the risk they have for their health.

is that misuse of alcohol will harm an individual's health, and these new advances are designed to be used to help people who either are not aware that they are at risk or deny their problem drinking.
