Early Monitoring Of Diabetes among Teens

In the recent years there is a drastic increase in the development of diabetes and other cardiovascular problems among adolescents. Hence to tackle the issue frequent blood glucose and lipid testing is necessary. //This in turn would detect and prevent the development of the disease and other complication among adolescents. Arlan L. Rosenbloom, M.D., Children’s Medical Services Center, Gainesville, Fla., said that children who are obese require regular monitoring for cardiovascular risk factors. These kind of monitoring are previously done for older adults as a routine and standard health check up.

It is advantageous and cost effective than the various preventive measures that are followed in order to prevent early cardiovascular disease. But this treatment would be of great success only if there are individual and community resources to change the lifestyle and maintain compliance with medications for risk factors such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Hence in conclusion he said that pervasive societal effort only would lead to the prevention of diabetes which requires the joined effort of both the community and government from keeping the disease at bay.
