E-gym is the latest fad: bring the gym home online!

The computer is at your service yet again and dons a new avatar that of a gym instructor. //

With an internet connection and gym equipment one can do exercises taking cues from the net.

One such follower Michele Galindo says, 'I don't have any problem seeing it. In the past I haven't kept up with an exercise program, because it's not convenient or I get tired of it.'

The various companies hopping in to this new tech enables gym are many. One of them is Austin Company that offers fitness and health advice.

Raphael Calzadilla, chief fitness pro at, says, 'This is really the cutting edge stuff. This is the next wave of online fitness.'

Another health industry pro, Jas Singh, president of California-based, puts it , 'People can watch them at home, at work or in a hotel room.'

Such offers and sites do the needful and spread exercise to homes.

Still some are of a different opinion.

Steven Taylor, founder of California-based Yoga Learning Center, doesn’t see this tech replacing gyms. In his words, this is not 'as a replacement for live instruction or personal trainers, but it's definitely going to be a supplement that people can use.'

So there are two views regarding this new approach.
