Johannesburg: The number of HIV cases in Africa as of last year hover around 2 million people, according to figures from the United Nations //.The World Health Organization has suggested an intelligent method to empower the fight against AIDS in Africa.

The WHO has advised that the influence of Traditional medicine and healers in healthcare in Africa could be used to give an impetus to the AIDS initiatives.Anti-AIDS programs should include the contributions of traditional healers, by partnering with them to increase the awareness about AIDS. It would indeed be an intelligent move, to use the good relationship shared between the traditional practitioners and local communities in Africa, to impact a worthy cause.
