Detox Clinic set up in Europe

A detox clinic was already opened at Amsterdam, Netherlands. The main purpose of this clinic is to offer treatment for video game addicts //. Following suit Europe has planned to open a new detox clinic to help out the addition. Keith Bakker, director of Amsterdam-based Smith and Jones Addiction Consultants who worked for the detox clinic has already treated 20 kids. He says that the kids addicted to video games slowly nurture gambling impulses which can be dangerous in their future life.

Statistics show that the worst affected kids fall in the age group of 13 to 30. After pursuing treatment in the detox clinic the patients showed a variety of withdrawal symptoms, such as shaking and sweating. The time period of the detox program extends from four to eight weeks. In this time period there are visits made by therapists who induce in them the interest in various fields apart from video games. He also said that these kids face such serious problems that they don't know how to communicate with people face-to-face.
