Chlamydial Vaccine for Humans in the Pipeline

Researchers in the Newcastle University at New South Wales central coast are in the process of developing a vaccine against chlamydia and they have received financial// support from the vaccine company in the US.

As of now they have developed techniques to immunise animals against the infection.

As chlamydial infection rates are on the rise researchers are working very hard for the past seven years to find a cure against the disease.

Immunology Professor Ken Beagley said that they have received financial support which would be very helpful in extending the research to human trials within a period of five years.
