Chinese Woman Hoodwinks Hospital with Fake Passport avails $50,000 worth treatment

A foreign woman suffering a heart ailment, masquerading with a Chinese name and fake passport that belonged to a dead person, has got herself treated in a hospital in// Auckland to the tune of $50,000. She has apparently fled the country.

While outlining the apparent difficulties in sifting the grains from the chaff, Auckland District Health Board chairman Wayne Brown explained how the 66 year old patient was ineligible for the treatment. The Woman had used another person’s passport to avail medical treatment.

Chief financial officer Roger Jarrold said "We are no longer in contact with them. We've advised Immigration what's going on ... We will go to the police with it. We have been informed by the Immigration Service that the individual believed to be using the passport is no longer in New Zealand."
