Cheese Saltier Than Sea Water

According to a study conducted by food campaigners it was astonishing to find that some of the cheese brands have more salt than the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.//

Parents are now buying cheese that are more salty and kids also like it for salt is an important ingredient which makes the food tastier. This situation cannot be changed even after introducing strict labelling procedures. According to the study it was found that Sainsbury's Pecorino Romano was the saltiest cheese having 7.4 gm of salt for every 100 gm of cheese. On the other hand the salt content in the sea water was found to be only 2.5 gm per 100 gm of sea water. About 175 different cheese varieties were tested and it was shocking to find that only 23 % of the brands had the salt content mentioned on their labels.
