Cervical cancer screening to be increased in Arkansas

Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer next to breast cancer in women and is the main cause of morbidity and mortality. Early recognisation of cervical cancer would help in early treatment //and help in cure and reducing mortality due to cervical cancer. A cytologic screening test known as Pap smear test is used to detect early diagnosis of cervical cancer in its preinvasive state and could detect early diagnosis. Women above the age of 18 years require yearly Pap smear testing to help in diagnosis of early cervical cancer in its invasive state.

Arkansas Health department as found from study reviews that cervical cancer as become one of the most important factor of deaths in women and in order to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer in the state the Department of Health and Human services as introduced Cervical cancer task force to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer in the state.

The task force is aimed at educating the women about the benefits of early diagnosis of cervical cancer as it offers better treatment and cure to cervical cancer, educating the women involves making them understand the benefits of cytological testing using Pap smear test which detects cervical cancer in its non-invasive state.
