CNIC To Provide Funds To Mount Sinai School

A scientific interrelations program is headed by Dr. Valentin Fuster between the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III, (CNIC), and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, for the benefit of cardiovascular research across the world. //A commitment of about US$ 6 million has already been made by the CNIC to Mount Sinai.

The CNIC seeks to become a center of international excellence with regard to research in cardiovascular disease. A scientific interrelation is sought to be established between the CNIC, Mount Sinai, and other centers in the US and Europe. The Government of Spain partly funds the CNIC, which also receives funds from the corporate sector, and its programs are sought to be sustained until 2015. The Mount Sinai School of Medicine is engaged in scientific research aimed at countering diseases more efficiently.
